OUR STORY

 

Our work on G & L began in 2015 when we went on holiday to Marrakesh, Morocco. We loved the culture and beautiful pieces so much that we decided to set up a small business called G & L Leather. We had a great time importing leather goods from Marrakesh and became friends with our lovely supplier Abdou. This was a wonderful learning experience and we enjoyed every second of it! It helped us grow a small business driven by integrity and passion!

Life got a little busier after this (as we were both running our own businesses) so we put the leather on the back burner for a little while.

 

Nick is a highly skilled builder with an incredible eye for detail and passion for craftsmanship. I have a love for art, fashion & interiors and have been lucky enough to run two successful Boutiques in Devon alongside my Mum, Fiona.

 

In 2017 Nick and I got married and then headed to India for 1 month on our honeymoon. This was the first trip to India for me and Nick’s second. It literally set my soul on fire! As we flew home… we agreed we were going back!

 

In 2019 we packed up our lives in the UK and headed back to India to travel and live! We based ourselves in Varkala which is on the Keralan coast in the South and then travelled as much as possible around the whole of India with friends and family along the way! It was just incredible to live in a country where the culture is so alive…We were barefoot and free! During our time we connected with so many amazing people that looked after and guided us.

 

 

G & L was launched again when we found Mickey in Pushkar, Rajasthan, North India. Mickey and his family run a beautiful business creating textiles. We also found a leather supplier in the same village with the help of Mickey!

 

Gratton & Lund Lifestyle is a brand built from travel, culture and connection. We work with traditional crafting communities and an audience who value authentic goods sustainably sourced.

 

We are now back in the UK and feel so excited to expand our brand and supply beautiful pieces to suit your lifestyle.

Nick & Chlo
